Camil Ungureanu is a Serra Húnter Associate Professor (Professor Agregat) of Political Theory and Coordinator of the MA in Political Philosophy at the Department of Social and Political Sciences, Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF), Barcelona. He coordinates the Social and Political Theory Research Group at UPF.
His research focuses on critical theory, contemporary political thought, political theory and the arts, populism, and religious studies. He holds degrees in philosophy and political science, and completed his PhD at the European University Institute (supervisors: Peter Wagner and Axel Honneth). Before joining UPF, he taught at universities in Bucharest, Florence, and Dublin.
His work follows the interdisciplinary tradition of critical theory, combining political theory with the social sciences and the arts. His research interests include:

Camil Ungureanu és Professor Agregat Serra Húnter de Filosofia Política i Coordinador del Màster en Filosofia Política al Departament de Ciències Polítiques i Socials de la Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF), Barcelona. També coordina el Grup de Recerca en Teoria Social i Política a la UPF.
La seva recerca se centra en la teoria crítica, el pensament polític contemporani, la teoria política i les arts, el populisme i els estudis religiosos. És llicenciat en filosofia i ciència política, i va obtenir el doctorat a l’Institut Universitari Europeu (supervisors: Peter Wagner i Axel Honneth). Abans d’incorporar-se a la UPF, va impartir docència a universitats de Bucarest, Florència i Dublín.
